one of THOSE days

Do you ever have one of those days? You know the kind. Its still early in the morning, did I mention Monday morning, and you think okay I can tell I am going to need a little extra strength for this day, maybe this week!
After a nice weekend with some time to enjoy the beautiful sunshine, and much needed time alone with my husband that's where I found myself this morning. I mean lets just be honest here for a bit, don't we all have those days where we just want to crawl back in bed and cover our heads, or we think I don't want all of these responsibilities today? As I was getting the last one out the door this morning I thought, "I need some extra time alone with Jesus". Is this always my response when I feel this way? Honestly, no. But, this morning it was thank goodness. This is the scripture that God gave me on my way upstairs to get my Bible:
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart." Hebrews 12:1-3 (NIV)
We can't look down, we can't look back, we can't even crawl back under the covers, or we will always fall. We have to look up. We have to look to the author of our life. He knows what we are going to face today, and He knows we need him to help us through it. He wants to help us, and He just loves when we call on him.
The old hymn "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus" just came to my mind. Perhaps if you are having a tough start to the week you could sing a chorus or two of that.
Love to you and and hope you have a great week.

Sweet Blessings,

I know I have days like that! I didn't go to church sunday I was tired and couldn't get my eyes open...the rest of that day was just pure being lazy! But the two sundays I had been tired (I have been moving/packing up a house) I said we are going to make it to church ....I can do this!!! My husband said wer'e not going to make it....I said yes we are ....I have to get there he has done so much for me I have to let him know I love him and I care and I can give an hour of my time in a WHOLE WEEK to go a little out of my way to hear his word. Well, those two days I got to church the rest of those Sundays were great ones! This past Sunday....Nothing got accomplished Nothing got done really and I felt like I let my Lord & Savior down...I will fight it next time....He Is Soooo Worth it!
Thank you for the words...I will try to find that song...
love ya,
big sister Brenda
